ATV Tire Chains Make All the Difference in the Back Country Terrain
There is probably nothing more
exhilarating than heading out into the back roads and trails, challenging
the weather and the terrain on your ATV. Today's well-built machines are
up for almost any test, and you are only limited by the time you have to
spend and the gas in your tank. Choosing good quality ATV tire chains to

demanding outings is an important step in ensuring a safe ride as well as

Available for all size tires, ATV tire chains come in a variety of styles
to most closely fit your riding needs. The most popular tire chains for
ATVs on the market today are the two and four link V-Bar chains. The
two link is purchased more often and refers to the spacing between the
cross chains and the ones that encircle the tire. With just a two link
space, you have more cross chains on the tire, and this causes a much
smoother ride as well as giving you more steering control. V-Bar chains
are really helpful on hills, crossing ice, and other hard pack-surfaces.
However they are not suitable for pavement because they can be quite
damaging, especially when spinning.
V-Bar ATV tire chains are specially made with the robotically welded v-bar
on the twisted link in every two-link spacing. The cross chains are
case-hardened and reinforced to give the driver extreme traction when
needed, and the diamond pattern of the chains allows for a pretty smooth
ride while you're tearing up the most difficult of trails. These chains
are not recommended for mud tires or tires with deep lugs.
Easy to install, you can find ATV tire chains in the following sizes such
as: 22" x 11" x 8", 23" x 10.5" x 12", and
24" x 13" x 9". Purchasing ATV tire chains is not a
difficult process, but the first step is to find out if they are legal
where you live. Some states have banned them because of the damage they
cause when driven on roads and pavement. Once you determine that it is
legal to use chains on your all terrain vehicle, you might want to do
further research into the other styles that are available in addition to
the V-Bar chains.
